On our way home from the circus yesterday I saw it. But with Lily crashed out in the back seat, I had to pass it by. Not that it was my sole reason, but offering to head back out to pick up dinner was a bit easier knowing I'd have the opportunity to return. And return I did. I saw the blue tow truck in an empty parking lot. Empty except for a man sitting in a chair in front of a business closed for the day. Thinking he might be the tow truck driver, I asked if he and the truck were related to which he replied in the negative. I felt the need to explain my future actions to him nonetheless and give him unsolicited details regarding Project Blue. Unimpressed with my story I let him be and proceeded to capture the blue of the tow truck. And even a little yellow. I know what you're thinking, and you're right...how could anyone be unimpressed by Project Blue?

The only possible reason he could not care about Project Blue, was if he was staking out the tow truck and preparing to steal it. Then you came alone and upset his plans! He probably had to go steal a plain ol' white tow truck from somewhere else!
These are wonderful! That first one is very artistic looking but I love them all.
Before Anna announces her next project I'm going out and just practice shots on all kinds of things.
I LOVE these. If I could, I'd follow you around for a day in the hopes that some of that creative eye would rub off on me (in a completely platonic non-crazy stalkerish kind of way of course - assuming that is that eyes can in fact rub off. Nevermind, I've had too much coffee this morning and it's apparently made me a bit loopy. Shutting up now.)
In all seriousness though, I really love what you've done here, especially the curved lines on that wheel photo.
Those are some EXCELLENT shots of your truck! I have seen some trucks ON THE ROAD that I really wanted to photograph - but of course, Jumping out at the stoplight for a quick snap isn't exactly what I had in mind! When I saw the ambulance in my entry for today, I had wanted to get out - EVEN though Mom was in the car, and take some good ones of it - but right as I was preparing to do so, another ambulance pulled in beside it, and they had business to take care of -- so I just popped off a quick snap and was on my way... it's sad! I miss a lot of opportunities though by ALWAYS having somebody in tow with me! So, I'm really glad you got to get back out by yourself to do your thing!!!
Wonderful as always. The first one is my favorite, but they are all cool... and you always have a good story to go with the pictures. Actually, looking at them again, I really love that next to the last one too.

Great shots! At first glance, I thought the first one was abstract art. Such a terrific shade of blue for a tow truck. And I love the lighting on these, too.

Thanks also, for your kind remarks about my words and for sharing your excitement about reading to kids. I love connecting with kids over a story and watching their imaginations come to life.
And, finally, I can picture you telling the disinterested man about PB. Very amusing. :) I had an opposite experience today. I entered a local downtown shop and started chatting with one of the women who works there. She visits my photo blog from time to time, so she turned to her friend, an artist who sells her paintings on consignment at the shop, and proceeded to tell her all about Project Blue. After raving about how cool it is, she suggested they go online and on the store computer to look at photos. So, Anna was right. The lurkers are out there. I guess they're just hanging out in air-conditioned shops, not parking lots.
How could anyone not be excited about Project Blue??? I'm sure the man really needs to get a life, a Project Blue life, a wonderful life like we all have, cruising around looking for blue objects wherever we can find them, even in parking lots!
