This Little Piggy Photographer Went to Market - PB#6

After I got home from work I needed to run over to the market to get a few necessary items. Our ice cream machine needed feeding so I had to get the required ingredients. I'm also leading professional development meetings this week and next and find a well fed crowd makes for a more willing group of participants. Therefore I had to make certain I had all the necessities I should require for my trip to the market.
  • Shopping list - check
  • Car keys - check
  • Wallet - check
  • Cell phone - check
  • Digital SLR w/2 lenses - check
As I roamed the aisles, I took into consideration those that were around me. I did not hide my camera, nor did I flaunt it. In addition to the items on my list I was on the prowl for blue. I think I succeeded in finding a nice variety. It was fun. I highly recommend it!

Dude, I can't believe you took your camera shopping. That's some kinda Blue sickness is what that is! Just tell me you didn't set up a tripod in the aisle. "All customers, open aperture on aisle 3." "Excuse me sir, I'm looking for a good F-Stop!" Okay, enough...gotta go to bed. Yes, I loved the set---again!

Rob, your gonna make me get a Digi-camera here pretty soon. I've got the day off from work today (which actually means I've got twice as much work to do)... yet, perhaps I shall first go see if there is any BLUE around. Yes Perhaps...

I think I'm sensing a blue obsession!

WOW! The market was FUN yesterday - huh? HOW did you DO that with the pasta? I LOVE that shot!

And by the way -- I have photographed in the grocery store too -- and 3 of my children have as well! I started them doing it in elementary school! One of them WON a photo contest with a grocery store shot!!! YEP!

PS... we also photographed The Dump!

Good shopping. I really like the balloons (I think that's what they are) and the pasta. Cool angles on everything.

Yo! Nobody came to ask you what you were doing and why? How about little kids pointing and saying, "Mommy that man is taking pictures of jar lids!"

Who would have thought there was that much art in a grocery store?

Great shots!! I don't think I would be able to take pictures while grocery shopping, I would feel like the whole world was starring at me.
Way to have fun with it!

I think you out did yourself this time Robert - I don't know which I like best!
I'm still a little shy in public with my camera so I have to work on that.
I am so glad you are out looking for blue - it makes coming here a treat to see what you find - today's was exceptional.

I love that you took out your camera and started shooting in the grocery store. You have a great eye.

My pantry looks very much like that first shot after a sale on Barilla pasta last week!

Looks like you got everything on your list! lol I'd feel uncomfortable taking pics in the grocery store. Enjoyed your photos of the padlock yesterday also. I'll shoot just about anything too.....as long as no one is looking. Ha!

I think it's GREAT you took pictures in the store...and that you had the b..lls to do it. I'd have been so self conscious. I'm also surprised the store manager didn't ask you to stop. Did you get a lot of strange looks?

I think the Gatorade one is my favorite. Isn't it funny how blogging leaks into just normal everyday activities? I laughed thinking about you sitting a Mexican restaurant watching a soccer game and having me come to mind. Does that mean that you're going to give REAL soccer a bit more of a chance?

This is great! You captured some terrific shots. Did you get lots of comments from other shoppers? I photographed the Kroger produce section not long ago, and everyone wanted to talk to me about what I was doing. :)

What a productive trip to the market you had! I love the shot of the foil balloons!! It's unusual to find them so neatly assembled and all facing the same way.

I love that you did this! Are those balloons for me??? Just kidding! This was a great idea!

I *love* these! Markets are some of my favorite places to take pictures, especially because they're so conducive to macro shots!
