I'm not giving up

With so many guests frequenting our feeder, I have had plenty of opportunities to get it right. I'm still trying to get a hummingbird, in flight, yet SHARP. In the meantime, I really like how these came out. Maybe I shouldn't admit that I wasn't going for silhouettes here. But the underexposure turned out great. Sometimes it pays to not know what you're doing. :)

As for me, I'm still quite sore but getting better. Julianne and Lily are both being so wonderful to me. I truly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes.

Glad the soreness is going away and that you are getting good attention from your family.

I love these hummingbirds. Black and white is such an unusual way to see hummingbirds, but it's quite wonderful to see them as silouhettes. I especially like the first shot, though they are both great.

Hi Robert,
I've just finished catching up with your posts that I missed.
The market photos were pretty cool.
Always great Lily posts - love her expression in the one below!
The hummingbird silhouettes are great. They are such movers - looking forward to more.
Sorry to hear about the gallstones. It should be a quick recovery and with all the love and attention I'm sure it will be.
Take care.

Humming birds in flight and sharp is a challenge -- good luck! Can't wait to see what you capture! Love the second silhouette here.

Those are awesome! I love silouhettes, and you did an amazing job with them (even if unintentional)!

Ha! Playing with my camera -- what does this do? -- has netted me a couple of very interesting photos.
