My Black Eye - Project Black #1

The long awaited next project has arrived. Project Black is the latest theme being hosted by Anna. My personal goal is to not go through the archives but rather for all entries to be shot specifically for this project. Since the theme was just posted tonight I knew I'd be heading into the garage and shooting in my light tent. I had two ideas in mind and as I was getting ready to pack it up from shooting them the idea for tonights post suddenly jumped into my head. I first just thought of shooting the black lens. Then I saw an out of focus reflection and my mind went racing. I was tempted to show the series of how this photograph emerged but in the end, I decided on posting just this solo image.

Please visit Anna's site to see her Project Black posts as well as the links to all the other participants. There's some good stuff out there!

Very cool shot, as if we're looking right through the lens to the photographer on the other side.

I thought of taking a picture of my (black) camera, but I didn't want to do it with my crappy P&S. Funny how you need a camera to take a picture of a camera LOL.

PS Aren't you up awfully late? Go to bed!

I *almost* used a shot similar to this. Great minds think alike, eh?

My camera was on my list of possible black things to photograph, but who can top this? I love it.

And a GREAT image it is too! I'm actually glad you didn't show the others... I LIKE the way this one stands on it's own! And really ... it is the perfect shot for YOU!

I looked for yours before I went to bed last night and it wasn't up yet! :)
I love this! It's clever and perfect to start out with.
Luckily, my bear sits on my front porch so I didn't scramble too much but I need to get through comments and get out!
I'm with you on finding the photos. It just makes it more fun!

Brav-oooooo (hear the applause?)!!!

VERY clever, indeed, and I'm impressed with your creativity and ingenuity :). I'll have to rely on old and new photos (my Nikon went BACK to the shop :(--you'll have to check at Pensieve, cause that's Part 2 of my post begun from the other day...but yet to have been written) (did that make ANY sense???).

Can't wait to see what other NEW AND NOVEL things you come up with!
