Yesterday marked one year that we got Lily. In adoptionland, it's referred to as Gotcha Day. Julianne made a great post yesterday to document the occasion. Below you'll see a picture taken about 15 minutes after Lily was placed in our arms for the first time. And then we took a new one today. I'm also showing the video once again from that blessed moment. It has been an amazing year.

I absolutely love the name Lily Grace, and how did you manage not to cry?
You are all so lucky to have each other.
Quilly, did you watch the video??? I was balling like a school child!
I LOVE THIS.
HOW SPECIAL! Thanks for giving us not only a glimpse but a seat into your big day!
I had to watch it again....God is so good. I know you all love her well!
That's so great! Thanks for posting the video.
Awwww! Sorry I'm late. Happy Belated Gotcha Day!!!
I can't begin to articulate the emotion I feel when watching this video. It's etched in my mind forever.
Beautiful. I am so glad you got it forever preserved. Thank you so very much for sharing such a tender, intimate moment. It has blessed me immensely.
Quilly was sleeping! ;)I was ok when I saw Julianne's face because I was expecting it; but I lost it when I saw you! You were one happy fellow. I wanted the video to keep going just to share it with you.
Lily has come a long way in this year. She looked a little scared then; but to see her in your photos now she knows she is one loved little girl by a wonderful Mommy and Daddy.
Congrats to you all and many, many blessings!!!!
How special, as Carletta said she looked a little scared then, understandably, how she has grown and such a little character in just 12 months. Best wishes to you all. :0)
A beautiful family you are! Many years of health and happiness...
So beautiful. I've seen a lot of gotcha day videos, and I cry every single time. What an incredible moment, the creation of a family. I love the way you recreated that first photo a year later. Are you going to do that each year?
Did you blog your trip to China? I'd love to read it if you did.
Happy Gotcha Day!
That video really shows the magnitude of just how happy you guys were.
She has grown so much this last year!
Oh wow Robert...that is incredible. I can't get over the looks on your faces. Thank you for sharing this and God bless you for being adoptive parents.
My goodness, this has been a day of tear filled posts. Whew...awesome video. You are blessed to have such a treasure in your lives. Lily Grace is as beautiful as her name.
Well, I have admired your Project Black photos, but this post is the best ever. Congratulations on your one year anniversary of having Lily Grace in your family.
