I'll Take Mine Black - Project Black #2

How could I not do a coffee post when the current color theme is black??? It felt kinda strange putting a steaming cup of coffee into my light tent. Oh the things we do to get the shot. And the steam didn't even show up. So you'll have to use your imagination and know that this mug was piping hot! Pour yourself a cup and enjoy.

And in a Starbuck's mug too. Was going to say "cool" shot but guess I should say "hot" shot since it was steaming. I miss Starbucks. When I lived in Arizona with my niece, we did grocery shopping every Friday and I always treated each of us to a Starbuck's Mocha Frappachino. It was my grand extravagance and a thing of delight and yummocity.

Black coffee! For years I drank my coffee straight up, from the pot, then I started having stomach problems. I had to learn to like my coffee with a "softener" to neutralize the acids.

AH! I was expecting to find THIS at Mar's place... not Robert's place! Did you buy that mug JUST for this shot? Tell the truuuuuth.... ;) It's wonderful!

I drink mine black too. This photo reminded me I haven't had my morning cup or two or three yet. Off I go...

I love this! It looks even better than a real Starbucks add!

Mmmm. Coffee! I just finished my morning bucket o' latte.

Congratulations on one year with Lily! So many adventures yet to come. I wouldn't trade parenthood for anything.

First... happy one year with your Lily and many, many more!

Terrific shot... love the absoluteness of the b&w and the coffee, of course. It was also a hoot reading your comments here... everyone is kinda lively... maybe it's the coffee ;-)

Great shot -- I have that mug, too! It was the one mug I brought with me to Philly and I drank tea out of it every day.

I stopped drinking my coffee black years ago, but that photo is enough to get me to start again.

My favorite first thing in the morning.

LOL, love the shot, even without the steam

the steam might not be there BUT the ring of coffee bubbles or coffee goodness really stands out

this shot is worthy of a billboard. actually better than most billboards.

I didn't even think of taking a coffee photo because I take mine (in the British terminology) white.

Great photo!

Excellent shot . . . even missing the steam. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love the aroma, which I can almost smell. They should use your photo for an ad. My sister works there . . . although she's not in marketing, so she likely wouldn't be of much help. :D

Nicely done :). I DO have an upcoming "black" photo featuring my MUG, but not my coffee--half and half leaves it caramel colored, not black.

I can almost see that steam, Robert :).

Black is the only way to go except when I spring for a grande latte. Ummm makes me want one now.
