I spent a day at training today. Hopefully all went well with the substitute in my classroom today. I'm hoping that no news is good news. It was really nice to be done when the clock said we were done. No books to bring home. No extra hours of planning. In fact it was so nice I think I'll do it again for the next two days. Gotta love a three day training after a day off. :)
I couldn't decide which version to post so you get both. I love the bold color in the top one even though the background is blown out. But I also love how the almost complete lack of color emphasizes the patterns and the detail.

I think I like the vibrant colors of the first better, but the conversion really shows off the texture of the petals.
Good stuff.
I'm like you...always have a hard time deciding which version is my favorite....sort of like the parks I've been in. When asked which is my favorite, I reply whichever one I'm in. So I guess my favorite is which ever one I'm looking at! Hmmm...this is fodder for a post...after I get home, that is :-)
Your comments perfectly capture my thoughts about the shots, too. I like the natural beauty of the first one, but I like how your editing of the second makes the viewer notice something specific. So I suppose for that reason, I like #2 because shows more of the "artist's presence" (to use some art history lingo).
Difficult to say ! they are both very nice ! (I talk like a diplomate, lol )
Both are wonderful Robert!
Glad your stress is off for a few days.
Ooohhh I love them both! Great job!
Your pics are getting more interesting by the day!!
:) Glad to see you have pics up!
I posted a couple new ones as well!
Take care friend!
Those are awesome! I agree with your comments regarding both. Beautifully shot. :D
