Resting at home while recovering from surgery can get a bit routine. When Julianne and Lily go out do go about their business, I have the opportunity to rest. But I didn't really get any sleep. So it was a blessing yesterday to get a visit from a friend of ours. He even came with Starbucks drinks in tote. I wasn't up to coffee (that tells you I'm still not up to par right there) but I did have him bring something for Julianne. Anyhow, it was a nice visit and we were blessed by his company and hospitality. I didn't get a picture of him but I did get a picture of a visitor to our yard today. What pretty colors.

Wow. That's one shiny red bug. Almost doesn't look real. Glad you are feeling a bit better even if not up to snuff and that you had some good company.
I love the shine on the bug! Sorry to hear that you're not up for coffee yet, but glad that you're up to blogging and taking pictures! Thoughts and prayers and still with you for the recovery.
Pretty vibrant colors!
Not up to coffee, especially Starbucks, - yep, you still have some recovery time to go. ;)
Take care of yourself. Hope you feel much better soon.
Oh what a pretty lady all dressed in red to cheer you up. I hope you're soon as good as new!
I love the colors too!
Friends are a blessing indeed! You may have no taste for coffee, but you haven't lost your eye for good photos!
The bug shot is just incredible - the detail, the reflection, the clarity. Very nice, Robert. Glad you're feeling better, even if you're not yet up for coffee. How nice to have a visitor, though. :D
Very nice macro shot, brilliant colors!
Such stable shot shows you are recovering well ;)
Hi Robert! Don't know if your into dragons or not - but we have a "photo hunt" going on for them over on MY blog this week! Starts tomorrow! (announced at the bottom of today's post!)
Great to hear you're on the mend and feeling well enough to get out back and take a photo or two.
Don't tell me you are crawling around the yard getting shots right after surgery!
Here's to a quick recovery!
Continuing to pray for your speedy recovery.
