This is Where the Rubber Meets the Road - Project Black #4

Tonight's black post took me no further than the driveway. I love the detail of getting in close. Can you tell?

Please visit Anna's site to see her Project Black posts as well as the links to all the other participants. There's some good stuff out there!

Love the detail on this one! And, it looks like, by the wear on that tread, you won't need new tires for awhile! :)

Amazing shot, Robert! Great details and very strong 'muscular' feel.

Way cool close-up.

LOL! You need to see my #4! It isn't as masculine as yours, but then neither an I!

I just came from Quilly's - yours is the masculine version!
I thought the same as Karly - do you drive that car very much. LOL!
Great shot and I guess I'll be singing this old tire commercial from Firestone until I go to bed!

Nice! I imagine you were lying on the ground again. Did your neighbor grab his video camera again? LOL!!

Who knew tires were so interesting? Very creative choice of subjects! I love your other BP entries too, especially your "black eye."

Thanks for the warm welcome to the project.

Great shot. And I love the close-up, detailed photos. Of course, having a cool macro lens probably helps lead you in this direction as well.

On a side note - how fun that you have Black Water in your music list. There's some very funny history to that because my sister misunderstood the lyrics when she was a kid. We still laugh about it to this day!

Have a great day! :D

Cool detail, I keep wandering around looking for black that would make a fun shot - then I come here and think, awwww...now there's a good idea!

Cool shot! Were you stretched out on the ground of your garage to get this? Christy has a shot of me from last summer laying on a gravel walking path taking a picture... The things we do for a good shot right?

I was just waiting for you to come up with something like the tire treads! And your tires are in better shape than mine. What a fun shot!

A picture of YOU taking this photo would be fun--just be sure to wear a black shirt, k?

You can feel the texture of this, which adds to its appeal. I took pictures when I had a NAIL IN MY TIRE, and thought about digging them up for PB...seems like I keep finding other things to post, though.
