I have always loved Mustangs and I've always wanted a classic 65' or 66'. Of course the new ones aren't too bad either. A few years ago while vacationing in Austin, TX, Julianne surprised me by having a brand new convertible Mustang waiting for us at the rent-a-car pick up at the airport. That was fun! I actually had a Mustang of my own many years back. I bought a brand new 1990 Mustang LX convertible that I owned for about 6 months before realizing I couldn't be a full time student and keep that car. So you can imagine my excitement while driving home from church a few years ago when I saw a Mustang car show going on at a park less than a mile from home. Here are a few images I managed to capture.

These are great! They're all so crisp and clear! Mustangs ARE nice... a former roommate of mine had one made sometime in the 80's, and when she finally sold it, I bought her a mustang long-sleeve T-shirt to replace it (because her car and her long-sleeve T-shirts were on her list of favorite things). I don't think she's ever worn it though. Oh well -- *I* thought it was a good gift idea.
p.s. GREAT choice of song!
What a great set of shots. Cool car. I bet you could put those all together into a nifty collage too. I enjoyed the song as well.
I love the first and last shots....not sure why?!?! They are all nice and shiny...I love that! My first car was a Mustang so I am having some fond memories right now!
Eye-popping shiny flash. The photos dazzle. Ford might want to talk to you about their next ad campaign.
Great shots Robert, and how sweet of your wife to surprise you with the mustang hire car:0). Yesterdays post of the hibiscus (ithink that was the type of flower it was) was so pretty, definately wouldn't have picked it for being in a shopping centre car park, hope you day got better and everyones attitudes lifted:0). You sound like you would be a patient man,so they really must have been turning it on!! As for the spider post, mmm great shots, not so great subject - they are one of my biggest fears, makes me shudder looking at them! Glad to hear someone else uses the good old crock pot, great for days when you don't want to spend hours in the kitchen cooking dinner:0)
Ooh, shiny! (What was that you said, I was distracted by all the pretty shiny bits.)
I love the closeups. I'm not a car person but these are enough to make someone one.
Great stuff Robert.
A few years ago - the same great work!!!
I actually owned a 1968 Mustang a very long time ago. -- White with red interior. Those were the days! (Gads, I'm so OLD!!) Anyway, love your Mustang photos. Happy WW, Robert.
My dad had a red 65 Mustang when I was little. I loved that car.
Great shots! Thanks for sharing :)
Ah, they don't make em like this anymore...metal trim! And there's something about old Mustangs and T-Birds. Ford was a happy company back then!
Your shots are great: sharp and reflections handled perfectly. I appreciate your song match too :-)
Love the shots! There's just something about Mustangs...
Great shots! My husband is a big car guy and loves all things cars.
What a sweet thing for Julianne to do for you!
Fantastic shots of one of the classics of all time! Those really were the days, no doubt about that!
Oh... and I post new and archived photos... all depends on what's going on.
Love the song!! AND the photos, of course! :)
Beautiful shots! Mustang's a very expensive toy here in Malaysia; it's heavily taxed so it's not a car easily owned by just anyone, let alone a '65 classic!!
I am passing these on to my Dad.
He had a 65 1/2 Mustang when he was young. Still talks about that car to this day....so must have left a lasting impression!
I love these! My hubby had a mustang when I first met him. He totalled it about a week later. I rode in it once :(
I had a 66 Mustang right out of high school. Great shots, Robert. So much better than my Ford pickup today. But that's okay. I'll enjoy them both.
Beautiful car!! :D
