The Wonders of Editing

I had some free time on Sunday and decided to run out to shoot some pictures. I know, surprise surprise. I had no idea what to shoot and just drove around hoping to feel inspired somehow. It never happened and I ended up in a spot I've been several times on the same mission. I came home feeling like I got nothing good and was tempted to delete my memory card without loading a single image into the computer. The first image below looked dull, flat, and blown out on the camera back. Loaded into the computer it looked the same, only bigger. So I tried pushing the colors a bit which helped. Then I wondered how the sunflare would look in black and white. I really like how it came out. I'm glad I didn't dump it after all. Following are a few others I felt came out at least half-way decently.

I really like the b&w conversion - it looks almost misty.

The waving wheat would make a good background graphic for a header or something.

Very nice, I'm glad you didn't dump them, too. I'm a big fan of photo editing! I think there have been less than five pictures that I've ever posted that had no editing. I use Photoshop for everything!

Those turned out great! I have to constantly force myself to load all of my pictures in the computer before I decide to delete them. It is amazing how many pictures I love now, would never have made it off my camera.

You know, I do the same thing all the time. Its surpriseing what a little work on some shots can do. I like the conversion and what photoshop can help do.
About my crab pots...its amazing what Disney can do. This was taken on the ship Columbia in Disneyland....so nothing is as it seams.
Thanks for stopping by. I have been following your posts and hope you are feeling better all the time.

Hi Robert,
The black and white does it for me - loved it.
The morning glories below are stunning and that yellow flower and .....love them all!

It's fun playing with colors... black and white gives that photo a mysterious quality. I like the last photo too.
