Why a mailbox? I have no idea. I like mailboxes although we have quite a boring one. I did this one months ago but wanted to follow my own rules and not dig through my archives. It was a challenge for me to shoot a boring object in a creative way but I love how this came out.

Robert -- you won't believe this but I just took some not-so-boring photographs of my mailbox the other day!

What a great angle - did you take the back off of your mailbox to get it?
This one was more of a challenge for me than you might expect - read my post and you'll see why.
This is my first time looking at the mail box from this perspective... it's like thinking out of the box... great shot!

Love your shot. I never thought about that one, although I got plenty of other angles. My obnoxious cat got me up nice and early, so I was out while the sun was low and the dew was fresh. And took way too many pix. LOL! :D
ps - I'm thinking you put the camera inside the mailbox and set the timer.

Cool shot. I was wondering how you did it. Can you take the back off or did you put the camera in on a timer? Hmmm. Curious readers want to know.

Mine pics are a little boring but I offered a "how to" solution to battered mailboxes. I took a shot of the inside of my mailbox, oh my...lots of spider webs in there...eeeeks! It was too creepy to post.
It looks nothing like the tidy interior of your mailbox.

I'm not really thrilled with my mailbox per se....but looking forward to checking out every one elses!
