G as in Gee I Miss My Guitar

Shooting these pictures after I got home from work today was the first time my guitar has been out of the case since I don't know when. Julianne bought me this guitar back when we were leading worship with the leader of the young married couples group we used to attend. That was a long time ago. When life gets busy, certain things have to go. So yes, I miss playing, but I can't really complain.

Fantastic! I'm jealous of that little beauty... I have an acoustic and a classical guitar myself, and used to lead worship as well, but with all the goings-on of life, I haven't picked them up in a year. One day I will, but for now my focus is voice (and piano for accompaniment's sake -- you can't really accompany operatic arias with a guitar...) = ) Hope you have a chance to play again!

that's how I feel about my piano when I don't get to play very often. Nice shots!

Cool shots. I used to play as well. I miss my guitar.

An unused Fender is a sad thing.

Hi Robert!
I love the way you composed these photos - I'm seeing the Anna influence - it's addicting isn't it!!

Great choice for the letter G. I've been away for a few days but I'm back and hope you'll come visit if you get a chance and yes, life gets busy.

My other half just resigned from the civic orchestra and put his trumpet away. It is breaking my heart, but he says between it, work and family, it is what he is most willing to set aside. He is making this choice because he loves me, and I am hurting over it because I love him.

Do today's guitars still have those little volume knobs?

I had no idea that you played. That is awesome. I wish I had taken the time to learn how to play the guitar when I was growing up.

I don't know much about guitars or music, but I know a good picture when I see one, and those are great!

That is a great set of G photos! You always find something meaningful to post. I am so impressed by that.

Hey, maybe you will teach your children to play someday.

Great photos, Robert. I also chose guitar, and guitarist! My friend Chris Madsen is a fantastic guitarist/song writer. We are blessed to have Chris share his music with us each Sunday in our Church.

Whoof!! Awesome look at your guitar. Mom's been too busy to spin wool lately too, or to weave, and it would be good if she got back to it.

Robert, thanks for keeping up with me! Your alphabet shots are all amazing. I like the perspective on the guitar. I'm itching for another photo project but I've got my hands a little full right now. I love the post about Lily. I feel the same with my children. Right now, to be honest, all of our prayers are about a job offer. I'll keep you posted.

Great shots. My son just took up guitar.

Hi Robert. To answer your question on my "G" post, Chris Madsen's guitar is a Seagull. If you click on his name just above the photo I posted, it will take you to his website and he has a link there to the Seagull Guitars.
